Fearless

He stumbled upon a territory in his mind that he hadn’t visited before , a dark place full of memories that invoked terror and left him perspired.

He wished he hadn’t so grown attached to her but it felt as if the universe left him with no choice.

She had left him and disappeared into the nothingness, a place he was so familiar with, until now.

As he prepared to join her he felt as if suddenly, the sky seemed black and the earth under him crack.

That was the moment he realised being fearless was just a myth.

  1. I started off with a similar idea but in the end that spiraled off into something a little longer so it wasn’t the piece I submitted. But I like the way you handled this and the different interpretations that can be applied by the read to “nothingness”. Thought provoking. Well done.
