“You know, you can’t do it”
Her voice echoed in my mind longer than i thought it would. It had a distinct flair, like the one voice you dream of all the time when you can’t sleep.
I knew i was being careless but that didn’t change the fact that she was so beautiful.
She was imperfect in her perfections and so beautiful in her madness.
And i didn’t mind the fact that she was a Lawyer.
“Why is the world so corrupt?” she shouted again.
I loved when she was talking to herself. She suddenly looked at me, paused for a while and asked ” Why do you stare at me all day?”
Sitting in that corner and staring at her i wish i had an answer.
And i didn’t mind the fact that she was a Lawyer – great line.
Thank you 🙂
Dear Nadig,
I’m assuming this is a Ram’s-eye-view? Or is your only reference to the corner of the room? Either way it works.
shalom,
Rochelle
Dear Rochelle ,
I think it’s a tiny mixture of both and more.
Peace ,
Nadig

Nirvana
Thank you 🙂 I will 🙂
☺
Haha she’s got 99 problems but the ram ain’t one…well done Nadig. Btw “dream of” I believe you meant, not “off” 😉
Oh yes!! Thank you 🙂
I mind that she’s a lawyer, but love the POV. 🙂
Thank you 🙂
A goat’s view of the world – or at least of the lawyer he’s clearly in love with! Nice one.
ps – you might like to change ‘off’ to ‘of’ in that first paragraph.
Yes! Thanks a lot 🙂
Nadig, A very creative take on the prompt. I agree that she’s got a problem. I think the job is getting to her. She needs help is she’s talking to herself and a stuffed goat. Well-written and humorous piece. :)—Susan
Thank you so much Susan 🙂
Nicely done, Nadig. You really bring her to life, and make me curious about the relationship. In the 3rd line done… it should be “one voice you dream *of*. Your stories are getting better all the time! 🙂
Thank you so much 🙂
Nice one Nadig.
Thank you 🙂
I’m not sure I’d hire that lawyer. Nice tale, Nadig.
I do have one suggestion, take it with a grain of salt, leave out the word suddenly. It rarely adds anything to a story and would give you an extra word to use elsewhere.
That’s a very helpful suggestion 🙂 Thank you for visiting my blog and for your suggestion 🙂
